Cataloguing the journey of two Brits from the tropical capital of Bangladesh across the Himalayas and along the Silk Road through China, Central Asia and the Middle East to Istanbul and beyond
You know one of the things I've been struggling with so far is how to see the poetry of this place. I'm sure it won't be a problem once I travel but I certainly intend to be warmed-up for it.
Once I've finished this book (Shadow of the Silk Road - Colin Thubron) I will send it to you via Matt or Wellers. Obviously it's prose, but at times wonderfully lyrical and picks up on the poesy and potential of the journey. It's awesome. Which is probably why I was up til 4am reading it. And why I'm now quite tired!
Nice :)
